Black Hearty Topsoil
Black Hearty is a classic 70/30 mix topsoil, like all of our blends the base soil is a natural British farm loam, this is a virgin soil sourced from farm projects such as lagoons for crop irrigation. Organic matter is then blended with the virgin loam to create a very capable mixture perfect for laying new turf and planting shrubs and flower beds.
Fruit & Veg Topsoil
Fruit & Veg topsoil is a powerful growing medium designed for really kick starting fruit trees and veg plots in the spring and summer time, like all of our soil the base mixture is a natural friable sand based loamy soil sourced from farm projects and it is then blended with 40% organic material to help store moisture and nutrients that your veg patch will love love love !!
Soil Improver
All of our soils are actually soil improvers but this potent blend of 25% loam topsoil and and HUGE 75% organic material will really come in handy as a last resort in blitzing stiff tired clay borders , this mix will slowly help break up the heavy ground and help hold nutrients and moisture, this soil is best used coming out of winter in the early spring and leaving for around 6 - 8 weeks before being planted in to.
